At JVM Castings we take our corporate social responsibility seriously. As well as sponsoring the Worcester Races, we also support St Giles Hospice in Lichfield.
St Giles Hospice are a registered charity that relies on donations from the public to continue providing high-quality medical and nursing care for local people living with cancer and other serious illnesses.
For many years now JVM Castings has been raising valuable funds to support the hospice. We have organised charity cricket events and have raised more than £5000 for St Giles Hospice, and over £2000 from the current campaign.
The St Giles Sporting Club will increase funds while decreasing waistlines!
The St Giles Sloggers cricket team have decided to expand and involve other sporting events, and in June this year launched the St Giles Sporting Club, to increase donations through all manner of activities including football matches and golf tournaments.
The St Giles Sporting Club will not only raise money for St Giles Hospice but help motivate anyone within the local community, including staff with JVM Castings, to get fit and active.
The Club is ideal for those who love sport and is currently welcoming suggestions for sporting money-raising activities from all.
Wayne Murcott, Managing Director at JVM Castings, said “JVM Castings are proud to support such a worthy cause as St Giles Hospice. By playing sport we not only raise much-needed funds for the hospice but keep ourselves active and hold events for the local community in which we live and work.”
“We are looking forward to holding three charity cricket matches over the forthcoming months and we will be playing in London against a team from France. We are aiming to raise £20,000 by the end of 2020 to help St Giles continue to care for over 500 local people each week.”
